Welcome to the Thompson-Nicola Region in BC

Vistas of desert, grasslands and mountains, and small towns and cattle ranches characterize the Thompson-Nicola region.

We are a 3-hour drive from Vancouver, a 45-minute flight from Vancouver or a 1:20-minute flight from Calgary.

The Thompson-Nicola Film Commission is a full-time, full-service film commission.

We are dependable and resourceful and here to help. Welcome.

See Our Work

Besides facilitating motion picture productions and marketing the Thompson-Nicola region worldwide, we are the Executive Producers of more than 50 film industry, tourism and economic development vignettes including 4 The Making of the Movies… vignettes, online motion picture education tools, the TNRD’s The Region of BC’s Best vignette, and a lip dub to Fishing in the Dark. They were funded by the TNFC and Northern Development Initiatives Trust.

As well we created the Thompson-Nicola Movie Map website and partnered with Creative BC Music Fund, Tourism Kamloops and Explore Gold Country Tourism to create BCs Best Live Music website
