Kamloops Film Society
The Kamloops Film Society's mission "is to bring the best in independent, Canadian and foreign cinema to Kamloops.”
The KFS Film Series present films throughout the year, approximately every three months on Thursday evenings at the Paramount Theatre located at Victoria Street and 5th Avenue downtown Kamloops.
The annual Kamloops Film Festival is held in early March for 10 days at the Paramount Theatre. Many films are sourced from the Toronto Film Festival, Whistler Film Festival and Vancouver Film Festival.
Highlights include having special guests accompany their films and articipate in a Question & Answer period after the screening. Guests may include the Producer(s), Director, Screenwriter(s) and/or Actors. There is an Opening Night Reception and a Closing Night Party. receptions and special events during the 10 days.

The Kamloops Independent Short Shorts Film Competition (KISS) is open to all short film filmmakers and winners are presented with gift certificates and honourariums.
The Thompson-Nicola Regional District offers two prizes of $150 each.
Awarded to the project that best depicts TNRD-based locations, attractions, people or events in a compelling and evocative way;
A lottery - open to all participants - all you have to do is submit a short film to be eligible.
KISS is held in conjunction with the annual Kamloops Film Festival in March.
Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops
Various departments of Thompson Rivers University screen films throughout the year. To find out what's showing and when, refer to TRU's Events Calendar here. Usually films are screened at the Clock Tower building.
Fake Flesh Film Festival, Kamloops

Midnight Sun Art & Film Festival, Sun Peaks Resort
The Midnight Sun Art & Film Festival consists of social conscience 'green' films screened during the evening outside in conjuction with the Art Fair at Sun Peaks Resort during the summer. There are 3 - 4 films screened throughout the summer.
Nicola Valley Film Society, Merritt
The Nicola Valley Film Society screens films throughout the year at the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology, 4155 Belshaw Way in Merritt.
